Projects

Susanne works developing and running projects with Sound Architect Creative Media and Life Wisdoms.

“Sound Architect Creative Media projects promote awareness of our inheritance and heritage; the world we live in; new skills and education, social inclusion and creativity. Using film, drama and digital techniques brings the heritage to life for participants.”

Since 2017 she has taken a leading role in Sound Architect Creative Media.

Below in the “Educational Community Heritage Projects” are some of the projects she has worked on with links to the films and booklets.

Qualifications & Experience

Before becoming free-lance, Susanne was a senior manager in a Local Authority responsible for the business and performance management of the corporate organisation at both strategic and front line levels. She implemented new successful ways of working and involving all staff in goal orientated work.

She has qualifications in coaching, mentoring, counselling, as well as Prince 2 Project Management, full teaching qualification and a degree qualification in Management.

Teaching

She continues to teach various topics such as drama, research, oral history, as well as self development, stress management, assertiveness; often working with community groups or small businesses to improve either task focus or co-working relationships. She also teaches how to set up your own business, including aspects such as business structures, marketing, finance and book-keeping.

She won a national equal opportunities award: the Lady Platt Award; in 1990, for a course she designed for women setting up their own business.

Events

Susanne was first Treasurer and then Chair of the Friends of Downs View, the special school in Brighton. This is a parent and teacher lead organisation to put on events that both raise money and provide for the families of the children and young people who attend.

She single handedly organised and ran five different hugely successful Mediumship Evenings, a fun Cabaret Evening, pamper evenings for parents as well as improved the way the organisation ran everything from finance to meetings to statutory returns; plus instigating things such as a common pricing system for events such as the annual Fabulous Fun Days and Christmas Discos, and creating a rolling diary and annual reports to give to parents, staff and potential funders.

She also led in organising a Christmas Fayre and the Charity Ball in 2013, plus various quiz evenings, fun days, school discos and jumble sales.

She contributed to raising over £100,000 in 6 years as a volunteer.
